Rebirth (First Reborn)
Requirements: fully promoted (all promotions done) + level 120 (110 for a Water Taoist) + a CelestialStone. Reward: start over at level 15, permanently stronger — a big pool of free attribute points (bigger the higher you push first), the reborn aura, and a fresh climb.
Rebirth is the endgame loop: once your character has maxed out, you can be "reborn" back to a low level and climb again — but far stronger than a first-life character. It is the mark of a true veteran.
Requirements
- Fully promoted — complete every class promotion (the last one at level 110). Visit your class master at the Promotion Centre if you still have promotions left.
- Level 120 (or level 110 if you are a Water Taoist).
- A CelestialStone — it is consumed in the rite of rebirth. You craft one via the CelestialStone quest: gather the 7 gems (Phoenix, Dragon, Fury, Rainbow, Kylin, Violet, Moon — mined with a pickaxe in the Mine Cave) and one CleanWater (dropped by the Water Lord boss on Bird Island), then bring all 8 to Celestine in Twin City and she refines them into a CelestialStone.
Push to level 130 first! The pool of free attribute points you receive scales with the level you reborn AT — the closer to 130, the bigger the bonus. It is the reward for grinding all the levels instead of reborning the moment you are eligible. (Water Taoists receive a larger share at each level.)
How to reborn
- Go to the Market and find Eternity, the First Reborn. (You can reach the Market from any city through the Conductress — choose the "Market" option.)
- If you are not yet ready, Eternity tells you exactly what you still need (finish your promotions, reach the level, or bring a CelestialStone).
- When you are ready, choose "I wish to be reborn" and pick the rite's parting gift (see below): a Blessed Rebirth or a Gem Rebirth.
- Then pick the profession for your new life — you may keep your class or switch to a new one (Trojan / Warrior / Archer / Water Taoist / Fire Taoist).
- The CelestialStone is consumed and you are reborn.
A server-wide announcement heralds every rebirth — and fireworks light up the sky around you — so the whole realm knows of your achievement.
The parting gift
Every rebirth comes with a gift of your choosing:
- Blessed Rebirth — one of your worn items (picked at random among the unblessed ones) becomes Blessed: it permanently reduces the damage you take by 1%. (If everything you wear is already blessed, nothing can be improved — pick the gem instead.)
- Gem Rebirth — you receive a Super Gem of your choice: Phoenix, Dragon, Fury, Rainbow, Kylin, Violet or Moon. Socket it into your gear or keep it as a treasure.
What rebirth does
- Level back to 15 — you re-climb from there (much faster than your first life).
- A big pool of free attribute points — you allocate them yourself (via the character window), so you can build your character exactly how you want. The size of the pool scales with the level you reborned at.
- Your skills are reset to level 0 but kept — you re-train them as you climb (they grow back faster). On a class switch you forget the old-class skills that don't carry over, and you gain a special reborn skill for your path (Trojan: Cruel Shade, Warrior: Reflect, Fire Taoist: Dodge, Water Taoist: Pervade, Archer: Freezing Arrow) — then learn the rest of your new class's skills at its trainer.
- You unlock the reborn SUMMONS (see below) — the guard and your class's summon monster.
- Your worn gear drops to its base tier (keeping its quality) — a rebirth penalty, so plan to re-gear as you re-climb.
- Base attributes reset to a low reborn baseline (so almost all of your power now comes from the free points you allocate).
- The reborn aura — other players can see that you are reborn.
The reborn summons (Guard and your class monster)
Rebirth unlocks the classic summon skills — creatures that fight at your side. Learn them from the Spirit Master at the Promotion Centre (he teaches only the reborn):
- Summon Guard (needs one EuxeniteOre — mine it in the Mine Cave) — summons a guard that protects you: it leaps to whatever you strike, and monsters will turn on it instead of you. It stays with you until it falls (or you leave the map). As you grow, the skill upgrades through four guards: Iron Guard → Copper Guard (character level 40) → Silver Guard (80) → Gold Guard (105) — each far tougher and harder-hitting. Summoning costs a full 100 stamina, so sit and rest before the call.
- Summon Monster (learning it consumes one GoldOre — also mined) — your class's own battle creature, more of a striker than a bodyguard. It fights for a limited time (longer as the skill levels), then returns whence it came:
- Trojan: Evil Bat · Warrior: Fire Rat · Archer: Skeleton (these cost 100 stamina),
- Water Taoist: Bat Boss · Fire Taoist: Bat (these consume a full XP bar instead).
Only one summon can serve you at a time — calling a new one dismisses the old. A summon earns you the normal experience and loot for the monsters it kills, but killing someone's summon gives nothing. Your summon vanishes if you die, leave the map, or log out.
The second rebirth
Once you have lived a full reborn life, you can be reborn a second time — the mark of a true veteran. Eternity handles it at the same desk on the Market.
Requirements (2nd rebirth):
- You have already been reborn once.
- Fully promoted again — complete every promotion in your reborn life (the last at level 110).
- Level 130 — no early second rebirth; you must reach the very top this time (for every class, Water Taoists included).
- Another CelestialStone (crafted the same way, consumed again).
The second rebirth works just like the first — pick a parting gift and a profession, drop to level 15, re-climb — but the pool of free attribute points is even larger (a fixed, generous lump, bigger than any first-rebirth reward), so a twice-reborn character ends up stronger still. A twice-reborn character also learns Bless, the fabled skill of the twice-born (its blessing power is still awakening — for now it marks your rank on the skill bar). Two rebirths is the current cap; after that, Eternity can only help you re-allocate your points.
Made a mistake? Reset your points
Allotted your attribute points poorly after rebirth? Return to Eternity on the Market and choose "Reset my attribute points." Every point you spent is refunded to your free pool, so you can distribute them again from scratch. (Only reborn characters can do this — a first-life character's attributes are fixed by their class.)
Tips
- Free bag space — keep room for the CelestialStone.
- Grind to 130 before reborning for the maximum free-point bonus. Reborning early works, but you leave points on the table.
- You can change class on rebirth — a good moment to try a different playstyle.
- From level 70 a reborn can wear ANY class's gear (for items that require level 70 or lower) — so you can experiment across classes once you have re-climbed a little.
- After rebirth you are level 15 again, so head back to the low-level fields to re-climb (your higher base power and free points make it quick).
How our version differs from classic Conquer Online
- The free-point reward is a lump scaled by your reborn level (bigger nearer 130). This is the reward for grinding all the way before reborning.
- The gem / blessed-item parting gift works — a faithful classic-CO choice between a Super Gem and a blessing, offered on both rebirths (classic CO only offered it on the first).
- The "grant/forget" skill swap works — a class switch forgets your old-class skills and grants a special reborn skill for your path. (A forgotten skill may still show on your bar until you relog, and a few of the special-skill effects are a first pass that is still being tuned.)
- The CelestialStone is crafted via the Celestine quest (7 gems + CleanWater, see Requirements above) — a faithful Conquer Online flow. The gems are mined with a pickaxe. The mine gem rate, the Water Lord boss, and the CleanWater drop rate are still being balanced.
- The second rebirth caps the loop at two. Its requirements (level 130 for everyone, all promotions redone, another CelestialStone) and its fixed free-point lump are our own tuning — classic Conquer Online never shipped a deeper reborn ladder in this era. The classic second-reborn skill Bless is granted; its luck-praying effect is still to come.
- The reborn summons work, with one simplification: one summon serves you at a time (in some classic builds the guard and the class monster could fight side by side; here a new call replaces the old — guard for protection, monster for damage, your choice of the moment).
